Visualize the power of your passport in AR and Virtual. Display the globe on top of your passport and explore places you can go. With PassportAR Research a 3D earth model is projected on top of your own physical passport. Click on countries to “swap nationality” and see the passport power from their perspective. Furthermore, explore the 3D earth fully virtual on your phone.
Fully self-developed in Unity with the ARCore SDK for my Bachelor’s Thesis titeled “Mobile Immersive Experiences. How does mobile augmented realityshift the perceived user experience? A user study on a self-developed Android application.” at Leuphana University Lüneburg and City University of Hong Kong.
The app is comparing two different modes:
Virtual Mode: Discover places you can go on a 3D model on your phone. Swap the perspective to see how the world wide visa situation looks like to other nationalities.
Augmented Reality Mode: Place a virtual globe on top of your passport and discover our planet. Click on the countries to swap perspectives and watch how your passport cover changes.
